Top 10 Christmas Music Titles for 2016

The Christmas music came out when I put up the Christmas tree with the kids mid November. Now that December has ticked over, it’s okay to play Christmas music anywhere and everywhere. If you’re curious about the most popular streamed songs this year, Spotify analysed over 16 million Christmas playlists around and below are the top songs for 2016. I haven’t even heard of some of them; however I’m not surprised to see All I Want for Christmas Is You on the top of the list.

1. Mariah Carey – All I Want for Christmas Is You

I don’t want a lot for Christmas
There is just one thing I need
I don’t care about the presents
Underneath the Christmas tree
I just want you for my own
More than you could ever know
Make my wish come true oh
All I want for Christmas is you

2. Michael Bublé – It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas
Ev’rywhere you go,
Take a look in the five-and-ten, it’s glistening once again
With candy canes and silver lanes that glow.

3. The Pogues – Fairytale of New York (feat. Kirsty MacColl)

I can see a better time
When all our dreams come true

Rockin’ around the Christmas tree
At the Christmas party hop,
Mistletoe hung where you can see,
Every couple tries to stop,
Rockin’ around the Christmas tree,
Let the Christmas spirit ring,
Later we’ll have some pumpkin pie,
And we’ll do some caroling.

6. Ariana Grande – Santa Tell Me

If he won’t be here next year

It’s the most beautiful time of the year
Lights fill the streets, spreadin’ so much cheer
I should be playin’ in the winter snow, but I’ma be under the mistletoe
I don’t wanna miss out on the holiday, but I can’t stop starin’ at your face
I should be playin’ in the winter snow, but I’ma be under the mistletoe

8. Bing Crosby – White Christmas
