Valentine’s Day Heart Activity: Strawberry Hearts

February 14, 2011

valentines day craft idea for children

It made my heart glad to see my children kiss each other as they left for their respective classrooms this morning. My sweet almost 10-year-old is still happy to kiss her sisters on the lips at school. I wonder when she will think she’s too old for such things? {I hope never}

I’m at home now with my son and we made these cute strawberry hearts. Using a knife, cut a V in the top of each strawberry to make a heart shape.

Add them to kebabs sticks (or dry spaghetti) for a tasty, fun treat.

Hint: Frozen strawberry fruit kebabs are delicious too!

What a handsome little fellow he is! A glorious testimony to the benefits of eating healthy food. AND he is growing up so fast, Kel.
