We Play : Blu Tack

June 8, 2010

I discoverd Blue Tack Colour.  It costs about $3 and is a fabulous moulding material.  It’s less messy than play-dough and not sticky like clay. Blue Tack holds its shape and is easy to work with.

The children I was with today (2-5 years) enjoyed this activity with little adult intervention.  My older children loved it too! When you are finished, just stick it on a wall for next time. You have to love the easy storage.

It’s a  activity.

That’s a cool idea! I don’t know where I’ve been but I didn’t know blu tack came in different colours!

What a great idea! I hate the oily film that you get on your hands from plasticine and playdough – this would be so much better.

Yeah, I don’t like the oily feel either. I was surprised how easy and mess free it was!

I didn’t know you could get Blu Tack in so many different colors! I remember making stuff out of the original blu stuff as a kid, but I don’t think they were marketing it as modeling stuff back then =)

I will have to keep my eye out for Coloured Blu Tack . Neevah is always running off with the Blu Tack when I have it out so I am sure Coloured Blu Tack would be a huge hit :)

My mom bought my son some of this a few weeks ago, but we hadn’t gotten it out yet – thank you for the motivation!

I don’t think I would have ever thought to use blu tack in that way. Thanks so much for sharing. I will definitely keep this one in mind.
