No Make-up Photo

May 14, 2010

I’m taking part in the Bloggers Without Makeup Day (thanks to Mummy Mayhem).

This is me.

No Make-up. No cropping. No retouching. Just me.

This seriously is my washing pile.

The Husband is away, I’ve been up half the night looking after a vomiting child and I’m not even sure if I brushed my hair today.  I scraped the car as I was reversing out of the driveway and I don’t know how I got from A to B.  And to top it off, I don’t have any food in the house. But I’m still me. Just not a very functioning me.

Tomorrow is fresh, with no mistakes in it. – Anne Shirley

(and hopefully no vomiting too)

Youre beautiful as you are. Once upon a time mums could walk out the front and see 10 other mums to feel normal. Now we do it online. We are all the same just in different houses.

No Make-up. No cropping. No retouching. Just me.

And still beautiful.

BTW I’m not some crazy stalker :) I’m friends with Em and she put me onto your blog.

I absolutely adore your posts. I am a first time Mum with a 10 month old so am still finding my feet. Your posts make me feel half normal. :)

Gorgeous, that was me most of last week. My 15 month old son who has always had reflux prblems decided to try out vomiting up his bottle at bed time to get out of having to go to sleep. It worked 5 nights of changing his bed 2 -3 times, not to mention having to put his comfort toy through the machine and drier before we could get him back to bed…needless to say no more bottles at bedtime. Good luck, at least a bug won’t last as long as a behaviour!

You look great! I participated also and found it refreshing since I always wear make up when I leave the house.

Hope tomorrow is a day with no vomit!

I think you’re gorgeous without the make up! I hope your little one is feeling better soon.

And I might have a little bit of a crush on you for quoting Anne Shirley. Just sayin..

You look lovely.

At the risk of damaging your washing pile’s self esteem, I’ll just say nothing, except that it can often help to put the pile in a nice, light-filled, airy room. Then you can shut the door on it!

Tomorrow is fresh, I have to keep reminding myself of that too with an absent husband and three small children, one of whom is also sick. And my laundry pile is horribly similar to yours. But you? look just lovely, despite it all. xxxx

Thank you very much for the comment on my blog. Your picture is stunning! Your laundry on, on the other hand, looks overwhelming. Like mine. Yikes.
