Books are not just for reading, so my children have taught me. They sometimes grab a book each and run around the house playing the character. So there you go, that’s really getting into a book isn’t it?
Love it.

So true, they are also for sitting on (phone books) when guests come over and the 3 booster seats you have are not enough, they make a great board to lean on (street directory) when the drive gets just a bit toooooo long and miss 3 wants to draw on a scrap of paper with the pen from my bag. They make a not so nice pillow when miss 3 decides to grab one when she should be sleeping and falls asleep on it.
Immy loves to interact with the characters in the books – she strokes their pets and shares their picnic food – right from the page. What a shame we lose this level of imagination and simple play as we grow.
ah how my girls love those fairy books… they spend hours playing out the stories in various versions and ways
where would we be without books???!!!
That is gorgeous. I can’t wait until my kids get to this stage – so much developing imagination to observe!
I WISH I had time to get to your blog more often! Every time I visit, I go away with a smile on my face. Eavesdropping on little moments like this, or laughing over the photos like the ones below always give my heart a lift.
You are a very special person, Kelly!
Oh great, you’re girls love that series! Sienna got given that set and I just can’t wait for the day she can read them and make believe too. I read a couple & they’re gorgeous…
