Now, Ow

If you have a daughter, you will be familiar with the battles of hair brushing. My January FunMum, Wendy, gave me this wonderful tip.

Rules:

When it hurts, the child must say, ‘Now,’ instead of, ‘Ow!’

Once the child says, ‘Now,’ the adult must say, ‘Ow!’

Aim of the game:

Both players end up laughing.

or cut their hair into a short bob! My miss nearly 7 is brushing her own hair (yay) so now I’ve said she can grow it again – to many tears and ows nows a couple of years ago.

I find its easier to battle the tangles when not rushed.
Comb tangles out of hair whilst conditioning, rinse well, dry & plaite for bedtime. This way its tangle free and easy to manage before school.

My 3 and a half year old has long hair. She isnt opposed to getting her hair brushed but I have found that using alittle conditioning and disentangling mousse on her wet hair helps. I first started using it to protect the hair from chlorine as we were swimming almost daily, now its just routine as it speeds up the brushing process. I use Revitafoam from John le Court, last forever and smell great ( :
