Hawaiian Ham Steaks

Hawaiian Ham Steaks

This is an easy, child-friendly dinner.

Just fry the ham steaks on each side until just gold.  Place a pineapple slice followed by a cheese slice on top.  Cook until cheese has melted.  Serve with vegetables and mashed potato or chips.

I’ve never seen “ham steaks” before. (Have I been living under a rock?) My husband and daughter would LOVE that dish. Are the steaks available in the deli section or butchers?

Hi Julie,

You can get them from the small goods section in your supermarket near where ham and bacon is (pre-packed). Track them down; they are great!

Oooo… we had ham steaks for dinner a couple of nights ago and they were as good as I remebered them being. I’ve never tried them with the cheese on top though. I will DEFINITELY be doing so next time. :)

I am looking for more easy recipes, and this is certainly doable. Ham steaks with pineapple, either with or without the cheese. My daughter will love it.
