Pink lemonade and pink pasta please. Try and say that three times. I got the Pink Pasta idea from a friend. This is a fun activity, especially for toddlers and little people.

Set up some bowls, saucepans and different utensils outside. Add some food colouring to the water when you cook the spaghetti. I made some pink lemonade to go with the feast. I guarantee your child will spend a long time playing cooking.
Benefits
-
Pretend play is important for development. Read more here.
-
Using utencils assists in fine motor development.
-
Great sensory exploration.
-
It’s FUN!
NOTE:
-
If your child is sensitive to colours, leave it out.
-
Try beetroot juice for colouring instead.
-
It is not as messy as you may think. Leave the pasta for an hour and it hardens up and is easy to sweep.
See how fun it is!

My lil gals and I made pink pasta and had a cafe at home today. Was so fun. Thanks a bunch!
Love the photo Erin!
Great idea! Might switch out the pink for blue for my little man though hehe.
Blue pasta! How cute! I’m sure he’ll love it!
I do the same with mashed potatoes
@Elizabeth, What an awesome idea Elizabeth! THANK YOU!
What an amazing idea! I am dealing with a 2-year-old fussy eater who won’t eat pasta (gasp!). I’m going to try this as a fun way to get her playing with it, maybe some of it will end up in her mouth! Thank you!
@Liz, HA! Yes, when we don’t make it so sit-down-and-eat they might eat it.
