There is something magical about a snow globe. As you look through the clear glass, it is like you are transported to another world. A world where sparkles twirl like 1000 wishes, and you can’t help but wonder what it would be like to stand right in the middle, just watching. As the wishes fall lightly to the ground, you realise you need to take a breath, only to disturb the sparkles to life again.
Snow globes are pretty special and are simple to make.
This is what you need:
* clear plastic bottle
* glitter (colour of choice)
* confetti (I used colourful butterflies)
* figure heavy enough to sink to the bottom but small enough to fit through the opening (optional)
1. Set up a bowl of confetti and let your child put them in the bottle filled 3/4 with water. I added the glitter to save on wastage.
2. Drop in the figure (if you have one) and screw the lid on tight. It’s a good idea to tape the lid on with electrical tape so it can’t be opened.
3. Shake, shake, shake and let the sparkles light the way through the swirling water.
